Georgia Leadership Development Program

LEADERSHIP, TRUST AND COMMUNICATION IN THE CAUCASUS

The Georgia Leadership Development Program is an immersive experience designed to strengthen trust, mindset, and communication through real challenge and authentic human connection. Set in the Caucasus mountains, leaders step into unfamiliar environments where leadership behaviours naturally surface. Across four leadership days, outdoor challenges such as horse riding, trekking, and rock climbing create practical conditions where presence, clarity, and trust are essential. These experiences make behavioural patterns visible and open to reflection. The program focuses on building trust and psychological safety, strengthening resilience and mindset under pressure, and improving communication and feedback. Daily reflections and a final integration workshop translate insight into practical behavioural commitments. This is not a classroom course or an adventure trip. It is a purposeful leadership intervention designed to create lasting behavioural change through lived experience.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Tbilisi, Connection and Setting Intentions

Participants arrive in Tbilisi and check in at a centrally located boutique hotel. Early arrivals may join an optional walking tour through the old town, cafés, and historic neighbourhoods. In the late afternoon, the group gathers for the opening leadership session to set purpose, introduce themes, and establish psychological safety through clear contracting and expectation setting. The day includes a guided vulnerability circle where participants share personal intentions and behaviours they want to strengthen, followed by a group dinner in Tbilisi.

Day 2 Transfer to the Caucasus, Mindset and Communication

After breakfast, the group transfers from Tbilisi to Stepantsminda. On arrival, participants settle into the hotel with panoramic views of Mount Kazbek before the first outdoor leadership experience. The afternoon horse riding session focuses on presence, emotional regulation, and communication. A facilitated debrief links observations to leadership communication, assumptions, and teamwork, followed by dinner overlooking the mountains.

Day 3 Trek toward Alti Hut, Resilience and Peer Learning

A guided trek toward Alti Hut, supported by curated peer questions designed to deepen connection beyond roles and titles. Midway, the group pauses for a resilience reflection focused on effort, pacing, discomfort, and self limiting beliefs. The physical challenge becomes a live metaphor for leadership under pressure, strengthening trust and connection.

Day 4 Rock Climbing, Decision Making and Feedback

The day begins with a briefing on the rock climbing challenge and simple decision making approaches that support calm deliberate action. As participants climb and belay for one another, the focus shifts to trust, signalling, communication, and feedback that is immediate and practical. In the afternoon, the group returns to the hotel for a structured integration workshop translating insights into action through reflection, peer coaching, and clearly defined leadership commitments.

Day 5 Departure and Travel Day

After breakfast, transfers return the group to Tbilisi. Depending on flight times, luggage storage and short optional activities can be arranged. The program concludes with participants returning to work more grounded, connected, and clear on the leadership behaviours they want to sustain.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a fixed itinerary or can it be tailored?

It can be tailored. We use a proven five day framework, then adapt pacing and emphasis based on your objectives and participant profile.

Who is this program designed for?

Leadership teams who want to strengthen trust, psychological safety, resilience, and communication through lived experience rather than classroom learning.

What outcomes does the program focus on?

Building trust and psychological safety, strengthening resilience and mindset under pressure, and improving communication and feedback.

Is this a training course or an adventure trip?

Neither. It is a purposeful leadership intervention that creates behavioural change through real experiences and structured reflection.

Do participants need experience with horse riding, trekking, or climbing?

No. Activities are guided and supported by professional local guides, with briefings and appropriate equipment provided.

How physically demanding is it?

Moderate and adaptable. Expect several hours of outdoor activity on leadership days, with breaks and pacing matched to the group.

Is it suitable for mixed fitness levels?

Yes. We adjust pacing, route choices, and time on activities to keep the group aligned and supported.

Where does the program start and end

Tbilisi. The program begins with arrival in Tbilisi and includes a transfer to Stepantsminda, then returns to Tbilisi for departure.

What is the accommodation like?

Boutique hotels in both locations, typically Rooms Hotel or equivalent in Tbilisi and Rooms Hotel Kazbegi or equivalent in Stepantsminda, selected for comfort, character, and suitability for leadership dialogue and recovery.

What safety standards do you follow?

Safety is central. Outdoor activities are delivered by professional guides with appropriate equipment, briefings, and conservative decision making based on conditions and group readiness.

What happens if weather changes the plan?

We adapt. The Caucasus environment demands flexibility, and we adjust timing, locations, or activity choices to protect safety while maintaining leadership outcomes.

What does the integration look like at the end?

A structured integration workshop translates insight into action through reflection, peer coaching, and clearly defined behavioural commitments.

What should participants pack?

A layering system for mountain conditions, comfortable trekking footwear, and personal essentials. We provide a complete kit list once dates are confirmed.

Do participants need travel insurance?

Yes. Each participant should have appropriate travel and health insurance that covers the destination and planned activities.

What is the ideal group size?

Small to mid sized groups work best to build trust quickly and allow meaningful dialogue. We can scale delivery with additional guides and facilitation when required.

How does booking work if dates are custom?

You submit an enquiry with your preferred date window, cohort size, and outcomes. We then confirm logistics and deliver a proposal with deposit terms.
