The Nepal Leadership Program is a six day leadership journey designed to strengthen trust, psychological safety, and human connection through shared challenge and reflection in the Himalayas. Blending facilitated leadership frameworks with immersive outdoor experiences, the program moves participants from the vibrancy of Kathmandu into rivers, mountain trails, and quiet hilltop towns. Each environment becomes a living classroom where communication, resilience, decision making, and team dynamics are explored in real time. Through rafting, trekking, peer to peer dialogue, yoga, reflection circles, and a final integration workshop, participants build awareness of their leadership patterns and leave with practical tools they can apply immediately back at work.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THIS TRIP
WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED IN THIS TRIP
Day 1 Welcome to wild Kathmandu
A dedicated Life Happens Outdoors representative welcomes the group on arrival and supports smooth arrival formalities before transferring into the heart of Kathmandu. The first immersion includes Boudhanath Stupa, offering a grounded entry into Nepal’s spiritual heart.
Day 2 Into the Wild and Into Psychological Safety
After morning movement and optional yoga, the group travels toward the Trishuli River. Before rafting, participants are introduced to psychological safety and how trust is built or lost under pressure. Trishuli River rafting becomes a live environment for communication, mutual support, and adaptability, followed by a facilitated reflection and transfer to Bandipur.
Day 3 Into the Annapurna Foothills, Resilience and Human Connection
The group travels to the Annapurna region and begins trekking from Jinhu New Bridge toward Chomrong. Structured peer to peer dialogues deepen empathy and connection. A mid day pause focuses on resilience, pacing, discomfort, and supporting one another through sustained effort. Optional meditation closes the day.
Day 4 Team Dynamics and Dysfunctions
Sunrise yoga begins the day before continuing along forest paths and suspension bridges. Themes such as trust, communication patterns, accountability, and conflict styles are explored through what unfolds naturally on the trail, making the invisible visible through movement and real time observation. By late afternoon, the group reaches Pokhara for rest and integration.
Day 5 Integration and Practical Application
The group flies back to Kathmandu and moves into a structured half day integration workshop. Through guided reflection, small group coaching, and facilitated discussion, participants translate experience into practical behaviours and leave with clear personal commitments and an actionable framework. A final team dinner closes the journey.
Day 6 Namaste and Departure
Breakfast and coordinated airport transfers according to individual departure times, with space for final reflection and connection.

LEARN MOREIs this a fixed itinerary or can it be tailored?
It can be tailored. We use a proven six day framework, then adapt pacing and emphasis based on your objectives and participant profile.
Who is this program designed for?
Teams and leadership cohorts who want to strengthen trust, psychological safety, and human connection through lived experience in a world class setting.
What outcomes does the program focus on?
Trust and psychological safety, communication under pressure, resilience and pacing, decision making, team dynamics, and practical application through integration.
Is this a training course or an adventure trip?
It is an experiential leadership journey. Outdoor experiences create real conditions where behaviour becomes visible, then facilitation translates those moments into insight and action.
Do participants need rafting or trekking experience?
No. Activities are delivered with local certified guides, safety planning, and appropriate support throughout.
How physically demanding is it?
Moderate. Expect active days that include rafting and trekking, balanced with yoga, reflection, and recovery time. Pacing is designed to support the group.
Is it suitable for mixed fitness levels?
Yes. We design pacing, rest points, and daily flow to keep the group aligned while still creating meaningful shared challenge.
What is the accommodation like
Authentic and comfortable rather than luxury. Kathmandu Guest House in Kathmandu, The Old Inn in Bandipur, and the best available local teahouses in Chomrong, selected to support rest, reflection, and cultural connection.
What is the role of the integration workshop?
It translates experience into action through guided reflection, small group coaching, and facilitated discussion, ending with clear personal commitments and an actionable framework.
What safety standards do you follow?
Safety is central, supported by a 24 hour first responder, medical first aid equipment, supplemental oxygen, certified local guides, and structured planning throughout.
What happens if conditions require changes?
We adapt the flow to protect safety and the integrity of the leadership outcomes, using Nepal’s flexible environments and logistics.
How do we get there?
The program begins in Kathmandu, with airport transfers coordinated on arrival and departures.
Do you accommodate dietary requirements?
Yes, with advance notice, aligned to the full board meal plan across the journey.
What should participants pack?
A layering system for variable conditions, comfortable trekking footwear, and personal essentials. A full kit list is provided once dates are confirmed.
Do participants need travel insurance?
Yes. Each participant should have appropriate travel and health insurance that covers the destination and activities.
Who is Emile Woolf and what is their role
Emile Woolf is our leadership and capability partner, supporting the design and facilitation so outdoor learning translates into real world organisational capability.
What is the ideal group size?
Small to mid sized groups work best for trust, dialogue, and psychological safety, with scalability through additional support where required.
How does booking work if dates are custom?
You submit an enquiry with a preferred date window, cohort size, and outcomes. We then shape the itinerary and logistics into a proposal with deposit terms.
